EXD’99 Intersections in and of Design

Co-director and artistic co-director of the first edition of the experimentadesign Biennale, presented in Lisbon between September 12 and October 16, 1999.

EXD’99 was the first of 11 experimentadesign Biennales that spanned over 18 years and placed Portugal on the map of great international cultural events.

Promoted by experimenta, EXD’99 brought together over 150 participants from all over the world to Portugal. The event, which was highly innovative, both in and out of the country, promoted exhibitions, conferences, workshops and many other activities, creating a new global platform dedicated to design and design culture, based in Lisbon, and focused on the Intersections in and of Design.
